PLEASE READ: 

Buster, the 25-pound beagle mix, was rescued from the shelter and came to us very shut down, depressed, and unsure of the world. He has been in foster care for 8 months and is slowly learning to be a dog again.  We would refer to him as a project dog given his level of fear and anxiety.

Due to the severity of Buster's behavior, he is currently on anti-anxiety medication and is making significant progress. It is likely he will need this medication long term, maybe for the rest of his life. He enjoys the company of other dogs, and cats, but is not social with people until he trusts you. Buster would be best suited in a home with a single female who has experience with shy shut down dogs, and an interest in working with Buster at his pace. 

Buster LOVES going on walks and recently did a play bow in excitement! His future person will need a compassionate heart, an extraordinary amount of patience and love to go for long walks. Once Buster trusts his person, he shows his puppy side, and all of the patience will pay off!

Buster is extremely handsome and has gorgeous brown eyes with long eyelashes. 

Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.
