Say hello to Muffin, a spunky 11-year-old cat with a big personality! 

Muffin is a complete cuddle bug who loves human attention and actively seeks out any hand that isn't busy petting or scratching her! She is an older gal who spends most of her day content to nap in the sun or look out the window - but she loves visitors and will happily chirp when she sees you. She will purr like a motorboat while kneading you, lying on your lap, or cuddling under the covers with you.

Due to her age, she has retired from jumping and climbing and instead prefers lower beds and floor scratchers. Don't think that means she doesn't enjoy a good play session, though! Muffin loves a good furry "critter" toy on a stick slithering across the ground or a rattan mouse skidding through the room, and of course, a good catnip toy!

Muffin found her way to the Silicon Valley Pet Project after her life-time owner became too ill to care for her. She had a severe case of dental disease and has the majority of her teeth removed. She is still recovering, and we recommend only giving her wet pate food. Once her gums have healed, she may show an interest in kibble again.

She lost her eye in an accident when she was a young cat - but she is used to it and doesn't let it slow her down! She may, however, get startled if you sneak up on her left side as she won't see you :) Muffin is also a bit sensitive about her back legs and doesn't appreciate you touching them, so she can cause a bit of a fuss if you try to pick her up.

Muffin seems to be OK with lower energy pets or dogs that stay out of her space - she has shown a strong disliking towards energetic kittens, so be sure your household's energy matches Muffin's more laidback style.

Prior to adoption, all cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped.  Indoor homes only.
