Amazing April is a gorgeous 74 pound 6 year-old pittie mix. According to her foster mom, April is an excellent cuddle-bug whose love language is giving kisses…lots and lots of slobbery kisses! And did we mention this smart girl has a thing for carrying a favorite toy in her mouth on walks? How adorable is that?

At home, April likes to be included in whatever’s going on. However, she will gladly retire to her crate for quiet time or when her people need to be out of the house. Her foster mom says April does fine if left at home in her crate for a few hours.

Car rides are always a welcome treat for April and she's a great dog to bring along to visit friends or explore new places. She loves her walks and is enthusiastic about exploring her neighborhood.. April's been working on her reactivity towards dogs that bark at her and has made a lot of progress so far — she just needs some help redirecting her attention and keeping a safe distance. 

Like many dogs of her breed, April has a sensitive stomach and skin so she'll need ongoing vet care to help manage that. A special non-prescription diet and regular allergy medication keeps April happy and healthy.

April would do best being the only pet in a dog-savvy home where she can continue her training, get lots of opportunities for enrichment and play, and receive all the love she deserves.

Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.
