Jack is a 9 month-old, 50lb, Border Collie/Cattle Dog mix puppy. Who is ready to play?! Sweet puppy Jack is! This beautiful dog had a very rough beginning to his life, but none of the challenges he has faced, including being deaf, has ever dampened his happy spirit! He has quite literally bounced back and is ready for a forever home where his sweet, playful nature gets to shine!
Jack currently lives with other dogs and adapts his play style to the dogs in his home. He is crate trained, housetrained and has learned several hand signals!
He walks very well on leash and does an impressive job of connecting with his person while out in the world! Jack is a very smart boy and loves to learn new games and puzzles. He is an excellent candidate to learn some agility training.
This sweet puppy will do well in a home where he can get regular exercise and adventure, playtime with his humans and possibly an older, playful dog or two who can show this baby the ropes. Jack is working on some possessiveness about food, but does very well having his meals in his crate, which is is his happy, safe space. He is learning to be left alone during the day, and sleeps well in his crate all night.
Jack's adopters will receive training support and guidance to help them give Jack the best possible life as an active deaf pup.
Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.
