Jasper is a 12 pound, senior Jack Russell/Rat Terrier mix. This sweet, snuggly boy has amazing powers of observation! We believe he may have been an anthropologist before he retired to be a lap pup.
 
While he loves his fur sisters, he is more interested in watching them play than in engaging himself. He is also an excellent observer of other wildlife, including the pet rats recently added to his foster home. Jasper shows his curious nature with gentle sniffs, all while taking careful notes on their comings and goings.
 
As a good observer, Jasper does not like to insert himself into the environment. Rather than barking (no one in his foster home has heard him utter a single harsh word), he lets his momma know his needs with a quiet whine and dance when it is time for him to take his business outdoors.
 
Jasper's very favorite spot in the house is in the closest lap. From there he can continue his anthropological observations while also taking advantage of the free snuggles.
 
Jasper rides beautifully in the car - never concerned about the destination, walks nicely on leash - also slowing down to make his observations of the local flora and fauna, and snuggles down in the evening in his crate where he can process all that he learned throughout the day.
