Sweet Senior Survivor!
Star is a 6 pound, 10 year-old Chihuahua mix. Tiny Star is our sweet, affectionate and adorable senior survivor! Star wound up alone on the streets of San Jose and came in underweight with mammary masses and periodontal disease. SVPP provided her with surgeries for mammary removal and full mouth extractions. She is on her path to healing and this happy girl inspires us daily with her courage and bravery! Star LOVES to snuggle, and will happily burrow into a pile of blankets or into a favorite lap for a kiss and a scritch. She likes helping around the house and is expert at helping her dad find the cheese snacks she loves so much! Star is house trained and crate trained, though she would prefer to snuggle with you! She prefers to eat with a friend, and can definitely be picky - in true Chihuahua form - except when it comes to cheese. While she can be left home alone or with the other dogs, when it comes to a road trip, hanging out in a stroller, or on a short walk, Star is happiest whenever she is with her friends. Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.
