Domestic Short Hair / Tuxedo / Mixed (short coat) : : Female : : Baby
Sweet Mittens was originally fostered through the San Jose Animal Care Center program. Once she was returned to the shelter, her foster momma was concerned that this shy kitten would be frightened, so she asked for help getting her into rescue. Partnering with Scritch Kittens gave us the opportunity to get her checked out and spayed before transferring her to SV Pet Project. We can't wait to watch this cutie little Tuxedo blossom!
According to her foster momma, "Mittens comes to me when I enter the room or call her name, but my teenager son is loud and moves too fast in general so she gets little surprised and skittish around him. But she is not shy with strangers as long as they sit still and quiet and let her come to them which she does. Once she approves, she is quite friendly and loves to play. She is very gentle for the most part, but recently is getting too excited and rough when we are playing hard. lol She is very vocal. She lets me know when she wants to play, she lets me know when she doesn't approve, she talks to me and I wish I knew what she is saying! lol"
Kittens are bundles of love! Their personalities develop over time so we can't tell you exactly if this kitten will become a lap cat, a social kitty, a kneader, etc. Part of adopting a kitten is recognizing that they are babies and you will get to see first hand how their wonderful natures develop!
