Hi there, I’m Smokey!
I’m a very mellow, affectionate cat that would love to do nothing more than climb into your lap and purr.  So far I’ve made fast friends with everyone I’ve met, though they’re sometimes a little startled when I give my customary head-butt to introduce myself.  I recently had some dental work done but my foster mom took good care of me and now I can even eat my dry food without any problems.  I’m still learning how to play with toys – sometimes yarn catches my attention or I’ll want to play chase but usually I’m much more inclined to just relax in a sunbeam or on the softest pillow I can find. 
I’m very comfortable being handled, carried, and pet in every possible way, so I think I’d be perfectly happy with a family.  I’m not sure about dogs yet, but I’ll try my best!  One other thing - I can be a little timid or apprehensive in new places though, so please keep an eye on me in case something spooks me!  FYI - the broom really weirded me out and my mom had to hide it so I could eat and drink in peace.
