Thu’s Story
Thu Tran is an animal lover and a passionate animal advocate who has been working in the high-tech industry since 1980. Currently, she is working on a 10-year plan to retire from her full-time job and become a full-time volunteer.
As Thu’s human children grew up and chartered their own lives, her home stayed filled with her four-legged loves – both dogs and cats.
Thu's rescue work all started in 2007 when she brought a stray home for a week so she could find it a new home. Before long this kitten had a name, and Thu realized he had already found his forever home. Since then, Thu has adopted two additional cats, Tinkie and Charlie, and her dog, Sadie. She met all of them while volunteering at the San Jose Animal Care Center in San Jose.
Thu resides in Willow Glen and has a long time sweetheart, Tim; three equally wonderful children – Tony, Stephanie, and Belle; and an adorable granddaughter, Elly.
