Animal Care Lead (Volunteer)

Meet ANDREA LEE

Andrea has served in a variety of vital roles within Silicon Valley Pet Project over the years—including Board Member, foster parent, foster coordinator, and former staff Foster Program Manager. Today, she brings her deep knowledge of animal care, rescue logistics, and program organization to her volunteer position as Animal Care Lead.

Andrea spent her early career working as a college librarian and information integration specialist before running a Refugee Resettlement program in San Jose, helping more than 250 individuals and families secure housing, education, medical, and social services. She was also an early SVPP adopter when she became mom to Ruby, a special-needs American Bulldog mix who was 80 pounds of chunky love.

Leveraging her program development skills, animal behavior insights, and a soft spot for bully breeds, Andrea works closely with our team to ensure the highest standard of care and support for every animal entering SVPP's rescue programs.
